Automated email sent to new customer capture (vs sale)

I am looking to send an automated email to new customers that are added to my directory. I have the "Welcome Email" set up, but this does not send out until the customer makes their first purchase.

 

We use the new Square Estimates feature and capture potential customers during a phone call or walk in. After we capture their email, I'd like them to be automatically emailed an introduction to our company to help seal the deal, along with additional information on our services.

 

I see theres no current way to do this automatically. If someone could suggest a workaround, that would be great. I have created a group for newly added customers who have not yet purchased, but we can only send blast-style emails. I want to ensure these cutomers only get the intro email 1 time, and as automated as possible.

Hi there!  Okay lets dive into this.

 

So our automated emails are prompted when a transaction happens in the POS, so yes, you are right, sending the Welcome Email before a sale would be problematic.

 

You could create a "template" so to speak, to duplicate and re-send when you have people who meet this criteria. When a new customer comes in you can place this Customer in their own group, and email the Welcome Letter based on group. You can sort your Directory to make groups by clicking on First Visited - or send these out individually as you create new estimates.
