I hope this is the right place to post this. I use Square for my jewelry business and want to offer free shipping for orders over a certain amount on my online store. Is there a way to do this or would I need to just offer a promotion code to offset the shipping?
With the promotion codes is there a way to make sure they are being used as intended?
Hello @jewelrybylinzb, welcome to the Seller Community!
I understand why you want to offer this to your customers, but currently it's not possible on the Online Store.
You can create a promo code for your customers to use, but there's nothing to stop them from using it on a sale that doesn't meet the threshold for free shipping.
Thank you, @Chad I appreciate the insight. If I have my online store set to where I have to manually approve the sales can I add coupon codes to it for my customer?
Great question @jewelrybylinzb, but unfortunately this is not possible.
You could issue a partial refund for orders that meet your free shipping threshold. You would have to issue the refund from your Square Dashboard. That's the only workaround that I can think of. 🙂
@Chad appreciate it! That at least gives me some options of how to go about it or figure out if I need to do a different type of discount for them.
Is there a way to do free shipping over $200? Other than using a discount code (as I'm worried those who arent over 200 will use it) thanks!
Welcome to the Community, we're happy to have you here!
Thanks for this question. Right now, the only way to do this is through offering the promo code or refund the shipping once purchased. I've moved your post to a thread where this is discussed if you'd like to read more.
