Ask for email ONLY at time of sale without creating customer??

Do we HAVE to collect customer info when they check out!? This is ridiculous. We want to swipe a card, ask for email address, complete transaction. Why do we have to collect name, etc when they check out!? This makes checkout VERY slow and tedious.

 

How do we skip all the customer entry stuff and just let them type an email address??

Never mind. I think I solved it myself, but want to be sure I am on the right track:

 

1) Create a dummy customer

2) Do *NOT* give it an email address

3) Use the dummy customer for all transactions.

4) After you complete transaction, app will prompt for phone/email.

4a) Call hair replacement company to put back the hair you pulled out trying to figure this out. 🙂

Hi there, 

 

You can turn off the Customer Management features from within the Point of Sale app settings. 

 

Tap Settings > Tap Customer Management > Toggle off the Collect options

 

This should resolve this for you, but if you need any more help let me know 👍🏼
