Hi everyone,
I am a sole proprietor and was hoping to use the appointments feature for a different reason.
I own a vitamin store inside a doctor's office. I was hoping to use the "appointments" feature to remind patients when they may be running out of their supplements. This would be a device to have them return to conduct business.
1) The appointment settings currently have my first name and last name "you have an appointment with XX first XX last", where I'd rather it says " Stellar Supplements." I've talked with Square support and we tried to change it. I won't use the service if this can't be changed.
2) There is no option for a reminder that is simply that, a reminder to come back. It's a reminder for (I know, literally) an appointment. I don't want the patients to think they have a Dr. appointment that they're bewlildered about. I'd like it to say "This is a reminder from Stellar Supplements"
3) The description of the service (Product Reminder) I've created doesnt show on the appointment. (You have asked that Stellar Supplements remind you about vitamins, supplements, or herbal remedies that may be running low. Please check your supply and reply to place an order.)
Lots in this post, I know, but if this isn't a way to use the appointments, I'll just unsubscribe from it.

To your first point, you can update that info right from your Business Information page. The info listed under "Business Name" is what will display on your notifications and emails.
I think you could use Appointments in this way, but you'll run into some of the limitations you're seeing in your other points, since it wasn't designed for this use-case.
Have you seen that we also offer Email Marketing? You could use that to set up future announcement emails to target groups. I think it may be a better fit!
@Spenser Let me be absolutley specific, I guess it was kind of vague before.
Appointments > staff > me > greyed out, can't change it.
Because I want it to say the name of my company and not my name (at all), how do I change it?

At least currently, that's correct that you'll be unable to edit the Owner under Staff. However, you can edit your notifications to not include the Staff member's name. To do so, head your Settings page, and you'll be able to edit your notifications under Communications.
I definitely understand it's not ideal for the way you're using Appointments, and I'll share your experience with that team.

Thanks for raising this issue. I work on the Appointments product team, so I wanted to chime in here.
This is actually a new constraint that was introduced as we've begun to integrate the Appointments Staff List with the Square Employee List. The limitation is that the "Owner" of your business strictly needs to match the name tied to your business for legal reasons.
That said, I hear you loud and clear that being able to control how your "Staff" show up on your Online Booking site is crucial, especially for folks like yourself who want to take advantage of Appointments' powerful scheduling platform, but not necessarily in the way that we usually see (Barbershops, Salons, Massage Therapists, Photagraphers, etc.)
We've decided to do something to solve this, so be on the lookout for a fix to this issue sometime in the coming weeks. Thank you!
