Hi all. My name is Jessica and I'm originally from southern California but live now in rural north eastern south dakota. Up here is where I met my now hubby. We have 4 fur babies. 2 dogs and 2 cats. We are both disabled. So to help with expenses disability doesnt cover I turned to my crafting skills. I make one of a kind bead jewelry in many styles from gemstone to the tiniest of seed beads. I also now make diffuser jewelry for the big move to natural remedies of essential oil use. I do also make a few roller blend essential oils. That's just fun though lol. Being in rural area its challenging but it's nice here as well. This new community sounds like it could become an awesome place to chat and such.Mr. Pebbles

Yes Katieand, I am so busy with preparations. Getting my models to be measured. Sourcing fabrics, and helping a new Designer who will be experiencing her first show. Sketching designs, then I have to draft my pattern designs. Busy is not the word๐คฃ๐คฃ. My fabric just came in from Hong Kong. So excited this is for the finale piece. Which will be a Wedding Gown.

I sure do have favorite flavors!
Of course I love all my flavors, like my babies, but I especially love my:
Sea Salt Caramels
Meyer Lemon Caramels

I love your caramels!! I got some from you at a beer festival in San Diego!
That's fantastic! I would love to see you again @sj12
Hi! My name is Kathy, and I run Horse 'n' Round Studio, purveyor of fiber arts and chainmail armor. I have sheep of my own and sell fleeces, roving, and yarn from my own and other local shepherds (sheep, goats, alpaca), and work to educate people on the benefits of natural fibers and real animal husbandry, both modern and historical. I also create finished fiber wearables, both ready-made and on commission, teach, host craft nights, and sell at various events around the Pacific Northwest.
In my "free" time (ha-ha-ha), I'm a freelance editor, proofreader, closed-captioner, and transcriptionist.
Hey @Horsenround - thanks for sharing more about your business! My personal favorite of the fleece producing animals are alpacas. I think they're so cute and make the warmest fleece.
Here's a close up of an alpaca on one of my favorite farms:
A camel would be so interesting! I traveled to Jordan last year and took my first (and probably last) camel ride. ๐
Alpacas are next on my list for our homestead. I also would like to raise yak, but haven't dug in too deep on their fiber quality.
Welcome @jdpt ๐ It sounds like you're doing incredibly important work, so thank you! How did you first get interested in PT practice?
