Currently we're in the process of switching to Square for our online store. We carry thousands of products, and right now I'm having to go through each item individually to add data and make sure they are correct, as some things do not sync between POS and Online (taxes, extra images, sale prices, etc). I'm also having to add the description to each product individually, as we need RTF in the descriptions, so can't just sync them from our POS items. It's frustrating that I can't just import this information from my existing online provider, where all of this is already set up. It's going to take me weeks or months to copy all the data over. (The bulk edit button is useful for a small number of these tasks, but with the sheer size of our item library, it's still very challenging to use until everything is properly categorised.)
On top of that, I can't see any possible way to export this information from Square Online either - if something goes wrong with my library, or if I at some point need to switch to a different provider again in future, I have no way of backing up all this data I'm entering. The very thought of starting over and doing this all by hand again in future is... let's say not good.
Please can an import/export items function be added to Square Online?
