Feature Request: Can square marketing emails be personalized per client?

For example, can I put a code in the email to automatically input each client name into their personal email they receive from me? 

ie. Dear {client name},

 

This also includes any data stored on the client’s profile like birthdays, address, etc.

You have a really good idea to be able to use the Square custom fields to personalize your marketing campaigns. As far as I can tell, Square Marketing campaigns does not currently allow for this (or there isn't readily available documentation on it). It would be really useful to have this option.

 

A current option you could use it to use something like Active Campaign. They have a Square integration and allow for a number of 'personalization tags' to be used for custom campaigns. I am sure there are other marketing companies that allow for this too, this is just 1 I know of.

You can create a custom group from the audience section and only select one person. You'll want to make sure that after creating the group, it successfully says 1 reachable customer in that group.

 

Ultimately, we don't have any code or function to auto-fill names or customize per person. That's an awesome feature request though, and one I'll definitely pass along to the Square Marketing team!

2 years later square have not added customer personalization tags.... so sad Toasttab easily do this, can you really look into this please.

I agree. This is a very basic feature of almost all email marketing tools. I am having to take the holiday marketing campaign that I am working on to another system and hate to have to. I.e. Constant Contact, MailChimp, etc.

I am also anxiously awaiting this feature. It's shocking that it still has not been implemented all these years later. 

This essential feature should be made available so why does Square not yet have it available?

Regarding this feature request, I don't have any new updates to share at the moment. However, please be assured that we are actively forwarding the feedback from this thread to our Product Team.
 

If there are any updates regarding this matter, we will make sure to announce them in the Seller Community. In the meantime, the most effective way to generate progress on specific requests is by tagging other Square Sellers in this thread who would also benefit from this change. The more feedback we receive for a particular request, the higher the chances of our team developing it.
