Feature Request: Option to include utensils checkbox at checkout, and other order add-ons

Hi,

When a customer makes an order through Square Online, I'd like to ask them at checkout if they would like to include utensils. Grubhub & other 3rd parties do this and it saves us a lot of utensils. Is there a way to do this in Square? It wouldn't make sense to include it as a modifier on each item; instead, it should be at the end of each order.

Yeah, modifiers would be your best option unfortunately. Great suggestion tho. Adding this one to the feature request list!

Order level modifiers/questions for utensils and other things like that would be huge!

Starting January 1st, 2021, Hawaii is changing the law so that restaurants are no longer able to automatically give utensils with any food order. The restaurant needs to either ask the customer if they need utensils or the customer needs to request them. Hawaii is giving out a $1000 fine for each transaction where the restaurant gives out utensils without asking the customers first. This is Hawaii's attempt to decrease the use of single use plastics and is one of the things changing with the new laws going into affect due to Bill 40. 

Is there a way square online can ask the customer if they need utensils with their order at checkout?

@Koahawaii- not at this time - best workaround I can come up with is to add modifiers to your items named NO UTENSILS and ADD UTENSILS.

Hello! I own a cafe and currently only offer curbside/carryout. I've been including disposable cutlery with my orders, but am having quite a few customers ask not to have any. I'm wondering if there's a simple way to add an option at checkout if customers don't want to receive disposable cutlery. Any ideas?

I'd like to include a feature that forces customers to say if they want utensils included in their pickup/delivery order at checkout. Anyone have suggestions for accomplishing this?

Unfortunately at this point there isn't a way to have a blanket yes/no question at checkout, although I definitely agree that this would be exceedingly helpful! (At least this is true on the basic free online store: I'm not sure about any of the upgraded packages)

The best workaround I've found would be to have a modifier group asking about utensils for each item that would need some. You can make it a mandatory modifier on the online store. It isn't perfect but it's something...
