Feature Request: Option to include utensils checkbox at checkout, and other order add-ons

Hi,

 

When a customer makes an order through Square Online, I'd like to ask them at checkout if they would like to include utensils. Grubhub & other 3rd parties do this and it saves us a lot of utensils. Is there a way to do this in Square? It wouldn't make sense to include it as a modifier on each item; instead, it should be at the end of each order.

I agree and I can tell from my own experience -   

I am not a Square user but my online ordering service has this option.

After activate this option, we have sent about 33% less cutlery.

 

I sell candy (chocolates) and would like to add the option for customers to add a refrigerant gel pack to their order. I don't want to go through every item to add the variation.  Is there a way to have this be an option to add right at check out?

For now, adding a modifier will be your best bet, but I've moved your post to this thread so we can continue to track interest in the ability to add on an item at the end of checkout.

I'm sorry but I think you misunderstood my question.  I want to add an item for additional purchase at check out.  The refrigerant gel packs are an item for purchase to keep the candy cool when shipping.  We will not add them unless a customer purchases them.  Having this option right at check out would be a game changer for us.

Any updates on this request please?  This is a really important feature.  Using a modifier  or special request is not very user-friendly as customers will have to select this option for each item they purchase.  Soon, we will no longer be able to include utensils automatically and Square really needs to deliver this. 

Or, allow $0 item to be visible to customers.  This will be a good workaround.  Thank you!

This is a must-have feature due to the current shortage in supplies. Square team, please work harder. Thanks for your efforts!
