Wholesale pricing variations showing online

I have two issues:  First is I know that there is not a very good option for wholesale sales yet, so we have been using pricing variations to get the job done.  With implementing that we have noticed that those variations in pricing are showing in our online store.  We do not want those variations from showing.  Also, it would be nice to have different pricing structure for online versus brick and mortar.

Hi @quikone.  You are correct that all variations that have inventory are going to show on your online store.  And, currently, the only way I know to separate wholesale from retail would be to have two locations that share inventory.  But, even with that, there would be issues that I don’t know how to work around.

I can offer you a workaround, though, that should give you everything you need.  That would be to go to the Square Third-party App Marketplace and connect WooCommerce to your.  It gives you the ability to create a full-function wholesale store that links to your Square account.  You can see their B2B extensions here.  They also have more detailed help documentation on the process here.

Of course, you’ll have to investigate and make sure it does everything you want it to do, but I’m pretty sure it will satisfy your requirements.

I wish you the best.

Hi Chip,

I talked with Woo today and found out that they will have the same issues due to the way Square is handling the data between the physical location and online.  Since they (Square engineering) made the decision to handle the data in this manor, maybe they (Square) should consider reducing the cost of adding another location!!

I’m sorry to hear that, @quikone.  But thanks for taking the time to let me know.  It will keep me from recommending that workaround (which doesn’t work) to someone else!
