IOS 16.0 and naming your phone

We normally have many team mates selling at different locations at the same time.  We can tell whose sales belong to who because everyone names their phone.  Recently 2 of my team mates upgraded their phones to IOS 16.0 and now square doesn't pull the name from IOS.  Now we have no clue which sales belong to with individual.  Can anyone help with this?

Hi @Justpeachy.

First thing to know… there was a bug during the initial rollout of iOS16 where it renamed many if not most iPhones and iPads from whatever name it used to be back to something generic.  I don’t think they have fixed that bug yet, so it might be a good idea to have your employees go to their About settings on the iPhone to be sure it hasn’t been changed without their knowledge.

Secondly, some un-asked for advice.  It would be safer to have your employees sign into POS on their phones with device codes, and then give them their own employee PINs.  That way their sales will always be attributed to them no matter what devices they use.  Just some unsolicited advice!
