Turn Off Low Stock Alerts
Hello! After the latest software update, our inventory its now glaring at me with red low/no stock alerts on the Register for every category/item. I had everything set to "no" tracking alerts before the update. Is there a quick ad easy way to revert back/turn this off w/o going into each individual item and/or exporting inventory/changing alert to "N" and importing again? Thanks!

Hello, as far as I know unfortunately there isn’t a way to do it all at once. Someone may say otherwise but I’ve researched this question in the past with not finding another way! Best wishes.

Yes, I noticed this too. It appears something changed in the software that now out of stock is showing up. NOT a fan, but not sure how to turn off. I have turned off stock alerts because I'm annoyed when I keep getting emails about low stock that I don't need to know about through Square.I do not think these red out of stock indicators are related to low stock alerts and only perhaps triggered by the quantity setting?

Thanks, everyone, for the replies. I was wondering if I was missing a quick trick to turning this off, but it seems I am not (sadly). Charlie, yes, you are correct -- it is the quantity setting for the red alerts and not the low stock. It would be AMAZING if the engineers would create a feature in Settings to turn on/off for the entire catalog of inventory. Going into each item is way too time-consuming.

Hi there @AlltheDogs 🐶
I'm not entirely sure, but it sounds like you may be referring to the same feature that folks were chatting about in this thread.
If this sounds like what you're asking about, @elaine_p's Best Answer here should help provide some clarity.
Please let me know if I'm off-target here, and this isn't what your post is about!

Hi there! I’m still struggling to find how to turn off low stock alerts? They actually need to be asking what we the retailer need and stop changing things within our square system that make business harder as in time consuming. Thanks for any help with steps on how to turn off alerts in bulk preferably. 🙂

Hi @WW2972,
Thanks for writing in and welcome to the Seller Community 🙂
Have you had a chance to take a look at the best answer here? At this time, you'd have to turn off low stock alerts for each item it's enabled for. To turn this off for your items in your Square Dashboard:
1. Click on Items > Select an item.
2. Click on Stock. In the pop up that opens, you will see a toggle with the label "Tracking".
3. Turn this toggle off, and select Save when you're done.
I hope this helps, please let us know how you go!

I appreciate your response. I think it's ridiculous for Square to make it so I have to individually turn the low stock alert off on over 10,000 + items. I do appreciate you sending information on how to turn off the alert per item.
