Transfer domain between squareup accounts

I work for a non profit and we recently had a change in director. We had to set up a new square account with the new director and rebuild the website. How do I transfer the domain from the old square account to the new square account?

HI, is the domain name with Square? or with a domain provider?  You would need to contact them and request the changeover.

To be clear, we originally had the domain set up with a wix account, then we moved it to a square account, now we are trying to move the domain to a new square account. I don't know what register.com is...

Ah, I see. The best thing to do is write into our support team for help on this - that way they can confirm with the account owner (yourself) that they have permission to move the domain name to the other Square account.

Ashley, I wrote to the support team the day you replied. On Feb 12 they asked us to send a formal request from the email address of the old square account. We've written 4 times to find out what the status is and nothing. What is the best way to get in contact with a person please?

I'm so sorry you experienced this! I reached out to support and had them move the domain over for you. This was possible since you had written in stating this was what you wanted, a step we needed before we could take actions. You should see the changes already.

Although I can see some changes between our two accounts, the domain is still pointing to the website for the old account. This screenshot shows how our  domain is still associated with the old account. But the screenshot below indicates that there are no domains associated with this account. When I log in to the new account and edit the website, I click publish and it asks to update the domain, but when I click "connect" nothing seems to happen. When I go to Domains, it is listed there as unassigned for a destination, but none of the options for assigning the destination solve the problem. I'm sorry to keep bugging you but no one else is replying to our calls for assistance.

@conneautarts Thanks for the screenshot! Since you can log into the account that has the site currently using the domain, you should click the customize button (it’s hidden under the dropdown on the right in your screenshot), then choose the Use a Square subdomain option. Once you set that it will free up the domain for use with a site in the other account.
