There have been fraudulent charge attempts on my Square Card. How can I deactivate it?

Hi I keep on having unauthorized transactions on my square card. All of them are declined because now I transfer all the money to my bank right away. How can I cancel my square card and get a new one. Because I think someone got the numbers and trying to use it.

So sorry to hear that. 

 

If you believe that your Square Card information has been stolen, you can definitely deactivate your card and order a new one right from the Square App. To do so:

 

  1. Tap the three horizontal lines to open your app menu.
  2. Select the Deposits tab and choose Square Card.
  3. Tap Get help with card > I’d like to cancel my card.
  4. Select Deactivate Card.
  5. Tap Okay or Switch Back to Regular Deposits if you’d like to return to Square’s standard next day deposit schedule.
  6. You can leave feedback on the following screen and press Send, or tap X on the top left to exit the menu.

Then you can order a new card by selecting My card was stolen, I lost my card, or I never received my card. I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you have any other questions about this. Additionally, feel free to take a look at this article about filing a claim with your Square Card.

After clicking on the drop down menu, the "Deposit Tab" does not exist on either the phone app or desktop. What am i missing?

Here are updated instructions on deactivating your Square Card:

 

Open your app and go to Balance > Checking. Tap Get help with Checking and select from the options listed.

Hey there @judiegreeneyes- You can use this link to look up that transaction. If nothing appears and you still don't recognize the charge, I'd suggest filing a dispute with your bank.
