Square reader extenders for iPhone with Otterbox case

Where can I get an extender for my reader? The otterbox case prevents the reader from connecting properly and I don't want my phone to be without a case. Are the extenders sold online reliable? Does Square recommend a particular one?  Thank you.

Has anyone bought the extender?  Does it work?

Ive tried a few different ones, even one from Apple.  None of them work, I keep getting an error message that the Accessory is not apple certified, even when using the Apple version.
