Is there a way to combine free shipping with a coupon code?
We are launching our website and would like to promote a 20% off discount (I've already created the coupon code). I live in a large planned community that I would like to hand deliver their purchase to them if they are local. Is there a way for me to take off the shipping fee for them? If I understand correctly, they can only enter one coupon code which would be the 20%off.
(I would love if the system allowed more than one coupon code so they could also add the free shipping)

Hello @rustichome thanks for your post. I think you can achieve this by using a shipping profile. Instead of trying to use multiple coupons including free shipping, you can create a shipping option for FREE PICKUP/DELIVERY, and set the shipping cost to $0. Then when an order is placed, the person would have to pick FREE delivery option, and then they'd still have the couopon field option for your discount.
Here is some more info about setting up shipping rates. You just have to be careful that someone else will not place an order, and choose free delivery/shipping instead of paying for shipping. I've had this a couple of times, and if this is the case you'd have to contact the buyer to explain the situation.
I hope this helps answer your question. Someone may also offer another solution, or if you find another way to achieve this please update us on this post.
