How do I see detailed reports by specific items sold?

The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Detailed Reports

I would like to print or see detail reports by specific items.

I sell  Art Prints on paper. I, also, sell craft items for these prints by Size (9x12 / price) and Product (i.e. plates, cards). How do I generate a report of sold items with one or two criteria's?

For instance, let's say I sold 10 prints of an art print called "Joseph" ; 5-"8x10"'s and  5-"9x12"'s. How do I generate a report that helps me see only- all the "Joseph" prints sold in 8x10?

Right now,  I have set up my item library by 1) Item- " the type of product: glass plates, poster, etc." 2) Category states whether it is a : "Print or Craft". 3) Variants is broken into "size and price".   Then in checkout: I type in the name of the product such as "Joseph" in description area. When the customers get my receipt, it is itemized and the description is shown. So the customers know that they bought 2 posters in 8x10 and the name of each poster. But when I look at the Sales summary to see how many 8x10 or Joseph's I sold- I lose the name of the product i.e."Joseph" and I, also, can't generate reports of all the Joseph's I sell within a specified size. I hope you understood my detailed breakdown. I tried to find this information in the help/tutorial sections, Youtube but it hasn't helped. Thank you for your help.

Check out Custom Reports on your Dashboard (Reports -> Custom Report)

Start a new report, let it populate all the default stuff. Add an Item Report to this custom report. You can then filter the report by category and add only the categories you want to see. The report will have a breakdown of items sold including all the variants.

When you are in setup mode, Square will pull your entire item library to the screen. If you have a large item library, this will slow your browser down a lot and it can take a bit to get everything you want to see set up the way you want it, but once the report is saved you will only see active item sales for the date range you choose.

More info can be found on the Square Support Center.
