How do I get a vertical photo to fit the downtown theme without cutting the head or feet off?

I have a photo image am trying to get to fit in the downtown theme. It is supposed to be 220 x 220 according to square. Unfortunately my doll's head is cut off. I have tried numerous other settings with no luck. Other images at 220 fit fine. Any suggestions?

Hi @65, thanks for posting. 

There aren't many options for editing the photo within Square unfortunately, and the photo would need to be cropped square (ideally the size you noted) in order for it to not be cut off.

For vertical photos that are not square, you would need to edit them and add "padding," or blank borders on the sides, in order to make the image square. Resizing is another option, but would likely squish the image too much, depending on how long the image is.  

These sort of edits can be made with most photo editing software. I've used Pixlr Express online, which is free, for simple edits before. Hope that helps!
