How do I disable Guest Point of Sale Access?

I enabled guest point of sale access then later enabled employees. Now I dont want the ability for a guest to initiate transactions, only passcoded employees, but I cant find a way to turn off guest access.

Welcome to the Community! You can turn off Guest Point of Sale Access through your Employee Permissions within your app.

 

  • Tap the following icon in the navigation bar:

Three Horizontal Lines

  • Tap Settings > Employee Management
  • Toggle on Enable Employee Passcode Access
  • Toggle off Allow Guest Access to Point of Sale

You should be all good to go from there! 👍🏼

How do you disable Guest Access from Square Dashboard? Not asking from App or POS.

Guest Access is only for the Apps.  You can only set the Guest Permissions and the admin access code in the dashboard.  You can't shut it off in the Dashboard you can only limit what they have access too.   If Guest access is displayed on the app you must shut it off at the app. (menu / settings / employee management / "Allow Guest Access") If you have multiple devices logged in to the same location shutting guest access off on one device will shut it off on all devices.
