Is there any way to check a client's e-gift card balance?
It is the same as physical giftcards. Click the Gift Card in your item list and just enter the e-gift card number.
I cannot seem to get any loaded gift card to show it's balance or see an option to add funds to it. Below is what I read on the Square FAQ pages for Gift Cards, but it does not seem to work as stated when I try it. The gift card balance never shows on this screen. Perhaps I don't know what is meant by "in-app item library". Can someone please clarify?

Currently having the same Gift Card Balance issue. I have a customer with a digital GC on file in our system. We have not found a way to see the balance. It would be nice if the balance would show in their profile. We can see the 4 digit PIN and their info on our terminal, but not the balance. Hope this is something that has been sent over for New Ideas and Updates. Thank You.
I stopped using squares gift card option years ago. I switched to Gift Up and continue to use hand written certificates. Much, much easier.
