Where is the Setting to turn the new checkout interface off and on? We have a 2nd gen Square stand with an iPod 7 gen running in it. I was on with the Chatbot asking where the new checkout interface was documented or visible and got the response that I could turn it off and on from the Settings. It wasn't what I was looking for, but I tried to work with it.
In Settings, I looked under the Payment section, and I can't see anything applicable to a new interface unless it has something to do with adding customer info in there. We don't use those capabilities. Is this it? Does this mean we have no interface changes? No other heading looked promising for a checkout change.
I did ensure that I had the latest Square version that would download for my POS.
I was really hoping that this meant that the black screen anomaly for credit card payment would be white, and the black was still there.

Generally, to change the interface, it's from the More > Settings> Checkout. If you aren't seeing the option to change the interface, then it's no longer available.
Can you clarify what you are trying to do?
Your chatbot told me about a week ago or a little more that there was a parameter I could turn on and off to see a new checkout interface. I have never been able to find it. I STILL can't find it. Is this obsolete now? Where can I get current information as to whether you are going to change something on us or not? My staff are not professionals and they struggle when you change something they use.

I would also be happier if you could just get some documentation for what the new interface looks like. That was what I wanted in the first place.

If you’re not seeing the option to revert to the old version using the steps provided above, then unfortunately it’s not possible to switch back. At this time, we don’t have additional documentation available on the new interface.
If you’re open to it, feel free to share more details about your pain points. I’m happy to help or offer any possible workarounds. I’ll be off for the next few days, but I’m happy to pick this back up next week.
I can't figure out what is new. Nothing seems to have changed on our Square stand. I would like to have confirmation that what we use has had no changes versus our having outdated software somehow. The software says it is current.
I want to be completely transparent. I am not aware of any changes or updates regarding a new checkout workflow for the Square Point of Sale app. Can you let me know where you saw that there might be a new update?
I received the email message
that mentioned new POS interfaces in a section by itself. I pinged the Square chatbot shortly thereafter asking for documentation or at least pictures of the new screens. The Chatbot instead said I should turn it on and off from the Settings if I needed to implying that this was a way I could look at it. I never found anything to turn on or off. I did not see any interface changes on our Square Stand 2. Our business does not use Square on a phone if this was your intent. I was really hoping that someone had fixed the awful black screen for taking credit cards on an iPad on Square.
There haven't been recent changes to the checkout interface. I am not seeing anything in my app or emails as well.

Is your Dark mode on? Navigate to Settings on your iPad> Display & Brightness> Toggle off "Dark Mode."
Let me know if that resolves the issue 😊
We do not use dark mode. This change is unrelated to that.
