I'm trying to connect to Tiktok but get the error, "To get started you must first create your Square Online store."
I have an existing online store and a registered Tiktok business account. Any tips?
Hey @megan-k - you are not alone here! I found this part a bit confusing too. It's a little counterintuitive, but you do actually have to "sign up" rather than "sign in". It's a separate log in from your Square & TikTok. So when you come to there, click sign up. This walkthrough (https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/7653-connect-square-online-with-tiktok) does a pretty good job of explaining the steps you need to take.
I think what you're saying is that I need to sign up separately for Square Online, but that's what I'm trying to say: I have a Square Online paid subscription and the website is fully operative, so it's not seeing my existing shop. I've been 'escalated to SA support' so I guess we'll see if they have any suggestions.

Sorry, let me clarify - your Square Online is one thing. Your TikTok account is another thing. And the part that you're hitting where it's asking you to "Sign Up" is a totally separate THIRD thing. I know it seems completely wrong, but trust me - hit sign up and go through the steps. I had to do the same thing.
I start in the Square Online dashboard, click sales channels>tiktok for business and then I'm routed to regular Square dashboard where I click Go to Online Sales Channels, then Connect for Tiktok, go through the permissions and get this screen. If I click Set Up Online Store, it takes me back to the Square Online dashboard where I can repeat the whole cycle again.
That sounds like a different loop than what I was stuck in. Hopefully the Square team here can help!
