Square STILL not connecting with Facebook Shop

I'm fairly experienced in websites and CMS etc as it's my day job.

However, we're having real problems linking our Square site to our Facebook page/shop.
I've done the pixel and triple-checked everything.

The Facebook page/shop is set up correctly by a social media expert.

But when I go through the process of connecting our Square site with the FB page I get the attached error message.
This is quite exasperating to be honest, as I know from experience Shopify works first time.

Please can somebody not fob us off with 'read the Facebook help pages'. We've done all that.

Can someone at Square tell us what we've done wrong please ASAP?

Hi @MattMM, really sorry to hear you are experiencing this! I haven't come across this serror previously and I couldn't see any previous reports so I've reach out to our ECOM specialist team and see if they have more insight into what might be causing this.

 

So that we can replicate the flow exactly, can you let me know if the error is coming when you are going through the Website > Instagram > Connect to a Facebook Business Manager Account flow or did the error occur through a different flow?

Thanks for the reply.

The error comes through Website > Facebook > Connect Facebook account

I haven't tried the Instagram flow.

Thanks for sending that on @MattMM! I've surfaced this with our ECOM specialist team and from looking into it on our end, the error message is coming from Facebook. Our developers are unable to take any action regarding this message unfortunately.

 

In this case, it'll be best to contact the Facebook Support team directly as they'd be able to help troubleshoot further. You should be able to contact them here

Hi Matt, the team was not able to fully investigate what the error was for as it was coming from Facebook and we're limited in what we can access or see unfortunately.
