Scheduled & Active Orders...WHY?

I've written about this a few times:

Can someone at Square PLEASE explain the logic behind Orders being segregated as either Scheduled or Active and not by day? Example: if I want to know & print out all my Orders for, say a Sunday, there will be Sunday orders under both Active and Scheduled. I cannot understand this logic of making your user look in two separate categories for what Orders they have for a particular day. And yes, this here and/or there has caused us to miss fulfilling Orders in the past.

The Orders system obviously understands days of the week, months & times of day. What can't I look at a Today & a Tomorrow to find everything for those days? It would save SO much time and, to me, help eliminate the potential for unfilled Orders.
