Performance Issue: Delayed Transfers sent on 30 May

The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Payouts not happened!

 

Has anyone not received there payout from over the weekend? 

Normally hits my account just after the pay out email. 

and tonight nothing! I have two businesses and both are same hence wondering if it’s all???

Hi everyone, just looping back to this thread with a final update to let you know that our engineering team has worked to implement a fix and all of your bank accounts are now relinked successfully.

 

I can also confirm that there is no further action needed on your side. Transfers have been sent to your linked bank account this morning, Tuesday 31 May.

  • If you have default automatic transfers set up on your account, funds are sent with Faster Payments and can take up to two hours to reflect in your account balance. The transfers you received this morning will include payments taken between Friday 27 May and close of business Monday 30 May.
  • If you have set a custom close of day for your automatic transfers, transfers have been sent out this morning which will include payments taken between Friday 27 May and 10.59 am Tuesday 31 May. It can take up to two hours for the funds to reflect in your account balance.
  • If you have manual transfers set up on your account, you can initiate transfer from your Square Dashboard or within your Square Point of Sale app. Please note that funds are sent within 24 hours of transfers being initiated.

You can check what payments have been sent by viewing the Transfer Reports on your Square Dashboard.

 

We completely understand how disruptions can affect your business and day-to-day life. 

We take situations like this very seriously and after further investigation, Square has identified and will implement technical improvements and process changes that will assist in mitigating the risk of the same issue occurring again.

I have the same issue. Nothing waiting inbound with the bank.

 

Disappointing that Square support is closed for the day too. This is poor from a financial service.

My bank has now been reinstated. So hopefully the money should be transferred soon.

at least we know we are not alone so should not be a problem getting it sorted, however we should be able to contact support staff at least to 8pm to let them know there is a problem

Thank you for flagging this @dotbagels1 @vincewak @FitMyDashCam. Our engineering team are aware of the delay in transfers appearing in your account. They are working to implement a solution. While we don't have any update right now, I'd recommend keeping an eye on our Status Page as this is where we'll be sharing more information as we have them.

more and more customers are posting and complaining. There is a distinct lack of updates which is concerning us all given that this is weekend payout day, so most of us are waiting on substantial sums.

The issue is not delay in transferring. The real problem is that my bank account disappeared from my account, an email was sent out of the blue asking to "relink" the bank account, that a verification is pending and it would take 7 days to be completed. The delay transfer is the least of these problems.

Agreed. Transfers can be delayed, but automated emails asking for steps to be taken which will see further delays is a problem.

 

that said, some businesses will be having a squeaky bum wondering when their cash flow will return to what was expected…

 

sales made, goods gone, but nothing to show for it at present.

Square balance is now showing the balance that should have been transferred. I COULD transfer it now, but will that work and why should I be paying the extra 1% fee on a 4-figure sum? 🤔

Same issue here, and the emails too, we had a lot to transfer its really worrying especially as the emails indicate its something we have done wrong - bank account etc.

Square need to get an email or push notification out NOW to let people know what’s going on.

 

How this happens I have no idea; but to have emails with false info still going out is worrying. I trust square with my business revenue, and they can’t seem to get extremely important info to us when it’s needed?
