How do I manage inventory on my options/variations, separately?

I run a super small business where a customer can mix and match items, such as bangle options and keychain options. 

Is there a way to independently manage the inventory for the options?  I can appreciate the variations are automatically created, they need to be independent. Meaning if Susie and Sara both want a red bangle and a soccer mom keychain, but I only have 1 red bangle and 2 soccer mom keychains, the current inventory tracking for variations does not work, as it asks for a inventory for each variant. 

I am currently on the Free option for Square, would this need to be an upgrade to achieve?

At this time, tracking modifiers is considered a feature request. In order to appropriately send these to our product teams we’d love it if you'd submit this request on our Ideate page for Square Online. Our team monitors these boards and we triage them to measure needs. You can search the boards to see if this has been requested before and add your use case to it if so!
