Have not received payment

We took a credit card payment over the phone and have not received it to our bank account. Payment is listed in square a week ago. Why?

Hi, @LEC_1 ! Welcome to the Square Community! 

 

After taking a look, it appears you don't have an external bank account linked to Square for funds to be deposited into. I'll list the steps for how to link an external bank account on your Dashboard below 😀

 

To add a bank account: 

  1. Sign in to your Square Dashboard and click Settings > Account & Settings > Banking > Bank Accounts.
  2. Click Add Bank Account.
  3. Complete two-step verification. Learn how to set up two-step verification.
  4. To link your bank account instantly via Plaid, click Continue. Select your bank and log in to your account to complete instant verification.
  5. To manually verify your bank account, select Link manually instead and provide the requested bank account information. You can find this information listed at the bottom of your checks, or you can contact your bank to confirm this information.
  6. Select Verify.

You can link and edit your debit card as an alternative for instant transfers from your Square Dashboard and from the Square app.

  1. Sign in to your Square Dashboard and click Account & Settings > Banking > Transfers.
  2. Under Linked accounts, select Link a debit card.
  3. Follow the steps to enter your debit card information.
  4. Select Confirm.

 

Square also offers business checking accounts, so any money you earn can be utilized right away through a Square debit card. You can learn more about getting set up with that, if it is something that interests you, here.

Thank you Summer,

I found that we did have a second acct that was not linked. Made the connection and all transfered.
