On the ppp application, you are required to select a business type. When I try to do the drop down, there aren't any options. It also won't let me move forward without a type selected. Please help!

For those who might be asking "how do I upload my documents from my phone?" I printed them and the scanned them into my phone with a scanning app.

The PPP Application process won't let you finish---Need to fix Business type option in order to go onto the next page.
I am having an issue once i get to the page to initial everything... it says i need initials for first and last name of applicant.. and that is exactly what I did.... ? Still comes up red and won't let me move forward even tho i re did it.. and put spaces between each initial... changed it to put my first, middle and last initial... still nothing......?
Did your email say "It’s official. Your business can now apply for PPP funding through Square Capital. Click here to apply now?"
Cause I got that email and when I click on it, says my business isn't yet eligible.
Yes, weird that it would let me fill it out to a certain point.. but not let you at all?
Hey y'all. Sorry to hear your troubles with the PPP application.
@Ashes_n_Embers - We've fielded reports that the 'Initials' portion of the application is giving some Sellers trouble. Engineering team is working diligently to find a fix. I've seen some sellers get lucky by running through basic browser troubleshooting. If that didn't help, please try filling out the application at later time.
@mike26 - Make sure you choose business category first before you the biz type. If not, you won't be able to proceed. Make sure you're on a computer using Google Chrome.

We have been trying since Thursday afternoon to complete the application. We’ve called and emailed for days. We get as far as the personal information page, any time I enter any new information it throws it out and I get ‘unknown error’ with a sort of sad face teardrop that asks me to refresh the page or go back to the beginning. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve done that on our cells and desktop in Chrome, in Safari, in Firefox. It never goes any farther than the personal information page. All of this has been communicated to the Capital team, today I spoke with Lucas. He asked me to send a screenshot of we have been trying since Thursday afternoon to complete our application. We’re also having issues with the amount of money that we would be getting on loan, if we ever actually LOL get the application completed and sent in. We will upload a 1099K as our document, and what it’s asking me to enter is my net income. 2 1/2 times of my net income wouldn’t even pay for half of my expenses/payroll for one month let alone two. I sure do hope someone can fix this and get back to us at some point.

Yes, we have tried on all our devices. I have since heard from Lucas, he said the application had been reset/cleared and to start anew, unfortunately that was not the case. It was only partially reset and as before, will not allow any additional info or changes to be entered without going to the error screen. If it’s our devices or browsers, then the law of probability is severely askew..a desktop Mac with 3 separate updated browsers, one iPhone and an Android cannot all have the same glitch. I fear there is not going to be any help coming before the second wave of PPP cash is gone, so thanks anyway. We lose.
You may be disappointed even if you complete your application. A 1099K only reports gross sales, not even subtracting Square’s fee. Even though you keep saying “we,” I assume you are self-employed or sole proprietor. SBA wants NET PROFIT (from your Schedule C line 31) to calculate loan amount. I don’t know who told you to use 1099K, but I would suggest you re-read SBA instructions before wasting any more time.
Thank you for the heads up. The person who told me to submit a1099K instead of a Schedule C was on the capital team, her name was Katie, this is over a week ago. We are an LLC, we do not file a schedule C as I explained to Katy. Assuming you are correct, yes it will be very disappointing.
Just a note to anybody out there, administration or other sellers commenting, this has been a very stress-filled process. All the glitches and bugs aside, getting anyone who is able to talk a business owner through the application process has been virtually impossible. Understandably, the need for support is simply overwhelming and you only have so many team members, but what has been happening is the process has only exacerbated and delayed the pain of knowing that we are not going to be getting any assistance.
Within application after selecting your Business Category the next step is to select Your Business type from a drop down choice and the drop down is empty and can not continue.

I have the same issue in the application for PPP. Unable to select business type, which prevents completing application?
Browsers are current and compatible on my computer. All forms are loading properly.
Drop down box is filled in Business Category Section and useable. Drop down box of Business Type (right next to it) is still not dropping down or filled in. cannot proceed any further. Has been like this since Friday April 24.

I did notice they had a list of browsers and versions of them that were required in order to fill out the application. Since I have filled out ours, I can't seem to find this list since it was at the beginning of the application process some place. Try looking at that and see if that could be an issue
