Beta Available: Modifier Quantities

I am looking to see if you can choose multiple of 1 particular item in a modifier set.

Example. I sell a doz bagels and the customer wants 5 of them plain 5 sesame seed and 2 onion. Is there a way to allow this to happen.?

If not is there a way to have a comment box in the modifier set like if I was ordering on the i-pad.

You would select your item, Qty, and modifier.   So it would say 5 bagels on the line with a price and then under it Sesame seed,  you do it again only this time 5 bagels and no modifier, then 2 bagels with onion.   However, if you are baking plain, sesame seed, onion bagels and they are ready to grab and go and you are not adding sesame seeds at the time of order I would put them each in as an item and not with a modifier.   This way you can keep track of what you sell the most of easier.

No updates at this time @OldTownBagelCo. Our team is currently exploring the ability to mark modifiers as sold out and will then scope Modifier inventory in order to allow the ability to add more than one of the same modifiers.

Agreed. Rezku is slowly convincing us to switch. Especially if this feature isn't available this year.

This is very important for us. Customers walk into our donut shop and say “I would like a dozen donuts, …[flavors]”. Right now we have to manually count items added and use a quantity-based automatic discount.

I am needing the same option at our axe throwing business for our Party Packs.  We need to be able to add additional throwers, food add-ons, etc.  This was requested in January of 2019...it is approaching 6 YEARS...how Square doesn't find this UNACCEPTABLE is beyond me.  This is a VERY basic request...one that A LOT of different types of businesses need.  I will be looking for a new system very soon if this feature isn't updated by the end of this year...mark my words & I will never recommend Square to another business owner.  I watch another thread that to be able to edit a closed drawer session...this was requested in April of 2017.  You increase your fees but you don't fix/add features that are needed by many.

We still after years of using Square just have to find ways around the fact that you can not have a count on a modifier.  It has made it necessary to create more Items that can be multiplied.

Been searching high and low trying to figure this out. It's definitely needed and to know it hasn't been addressed is very disappointing. We need easier ways to satisfy our customers with less confusion.

Is there any update to this feature request. I can see it has been ongoing for close to 4 years with no actual update or response ever provided.

We need access to quantitys on modifiers. For example,

How many Sugar would you like in your coffee?

No i don't want to list 4 modifiers like, 1 sugar, 2 sugar, 3 sugar, no sugar.

That just clogs up the item order screen.

Is this yet a planned update with this feature? 

Is there an estimated completion date for this feature update?

If this isn't being done, why isn't it being done?

Is this product designed for your customer (US) or your engineers?

I recently joined square, but will happily go to TOAST as suggested by others, they have this feature already.

Please visit his post on this and comment and tag @kristen. She has moved his feature request for this very feature, that has been requested for years, to "open." If we can get some traction MAYBE Square will notice... maybe.

Hi any update on this thread? I'm seeing posts from 2019, 2020 from square saying they were looking into making this a feature....we're now 2025 and it looks like still nothing has materialised unless I've missing something!
