Why Is My Dashboard Reporting Starting at 11 PM and Displaying Shifted Data?

My dashboard app has changed. It starts at 11 pm the previous night and the data is pegged to the right. I have checked the time zone and I am in the correct time zone and it looks this way on multiple devices. I am attaching a photo. Why and what can be done?

Hey @LSS63,

Welcome to the Community!

Thanks for sharing the image above! Based on what you’re seeing, you may need to update your reporting hours in the Square Dashboard app to align with your business needs.

From the Home screen:

  1. Tap the date at the top of the screen.
  2. A Timeframe menu will appear.
  3. Scroll to the Reporting hours section at the bottom.
  4. Update the time for "All Day" to match your preferred reporting window.

Please refer to the images below for guidance.

@RobynRI do agree that we need to track reporting hours as you recommend, but I think @LSS63 's main point is that the lastest update removed the adaptability that the app used to have when it came to reporting data on the graph.

In prior releases, the app would adjust the graph based on hours items were sold. In the example given, the first sales of the day were in the 7:00 hour, so the graph would start the day at 6:00. It just made things easier to view. The fact that we now have to manually do something the app used to do for us is the sticking point here.

@ryanwannerThanks for clarifying! It sounds like this would be a feature request for Square to bring back the automatic graph adjustments based on sales activity. I’d recommend submitting this feedback as a feature request.
