Need help with fulfillment times vs ordering times

Hi! I'm new to Square and I'm running into an issue.  I have a brick and mortar retail shop that is open Monday through Saturday from 10am-3pm.  In my online shop, I would like customers to be able to do the following:

  1. Purchase an item online and select shipping 24/7, regardless of business hours.
  2. Purchase an item online and select Local Delivery 24/7, but only allow the actual delivery to occur during specific hours.
  3.  Purchase an item online and select In Store Pickup 24/7, but make it clear that they can only pick up during business hours.

In other words, I never want to miss an online sale when a customer is ready to buy.  I simply want to be able to control the actual fulfillment but not restrict the time they want to make a purchase.  Currently, if someone is in my online store after business hours and wants to purchase an item, there is a message indicating that they have to place their order tomorrow at 10am (which is when we open).  This is creating a lot of friction for the customer and ultimately lost sales.  The only way I've been able to fix this is by setting my delivery and pickup hours to 24/7, which solves the issue but creates a new problem (i.e. the customer doesn't know when they can pick up their items or have them delivered).

Thank you in advance for your help on this matter!

Hi @sumnerframes

Go to Settings -> Account Settings -> Fulfillment Methods -> Pickup and Delivery, select the location you want (you might just have one) and click edit.

The first menu is for Pickup - Scroll down to Fulfillment hours, you should be able to set the hours there for pickup.  You can toggle the option that says "use same hours for delivery and pickup" if those are the same, otherwise go to the Delivery menu and set your delivery hours the same way.

Hope that helps!

Hi @lazydaisies Thank you for the response!  I appreciate your help.  However, when I do this, it is preventing online orders from being made.  For example, let's say I set the pickup and delivery hours to 10am to 5pm, if a customer attempts to make an online purchase at 6pm (regardless of whether they want to have the item shipped, pick up the next day or delivered the next day), they see a message that says something to the effect of "our online shop is not taking orders, please come back tomorrow at 10am".  In my mind, this is effectively telling the customer to come back another time - this is NOT the experience I want for my customers.  I want them to be able to purchase whenever they want and arrange the delivery or pickup for the next day.
