Help Removing one tax from an online item

Hello,  some context is that I'm in Manitoba, Canada, charging PST and GST and selling classes under the membership category. because my classes are a service I only have to charge GST and Not PST. but i cant get the PST to remove from my online site items properly. on my end it says GST only is charging but when the next order come in they have paid both taxes. I have also talked to square chat twice now with a total of about 3 hours in letting them try to fix it. 

Is There something I'm missing? Do I not get to control my own taxes on my website?

i Have other items i sell that i need to charge PST on so i cant remove it fully and i have tried to go into taxes and remove the PST from those items there. No luck

I found a couple things that might be helpful for your inquiry.

 

First, is how add tax registrations to calculate CA taxes:

  1. Sign in to your Square Dashboard and select Account & Settings > Payments > Sales taxes.

  2. Under Tax Registrations, select Manage.

  3. Select Add tax registration to add a new state.

  4. Choose the taxing state from the drop-down menu and select Add state.

  5. Select Save.

 

Secondly, here are two sets of steps on how to disable or delete sales taxes.

The second set may be what you are looking for:

  1. Sign in to your Square Dashboard and select Account & Settings > Payment > Sales taxes.
  2. Under Sales taxes, select the tax you want to disable or delete.
  3. Select the Actions drop-down menu and select Disable tax or Delete tax.

To disable taxes for shipping and non-physical sales from Square Online:

  1. Sign in to your Square Dashboard and select Account & Settings > Payment > Sales taxes.
  2. Select Manage settings.
  3. In the Shipping and non-physical sales section, select Do not collect taxes.
  4. To disable taxes on delivery, pickup and QR code orders, select Apply In-person taxes then disable or delete the in-person tax.
