Item splitting - square for restaurants

Does anyone know the current status of the ITEM SPLITTING feature that was being worked on?

 

I saw the alpha, tried the beta for a bit and went back to the non-beta in case of any bugs.  I seem to recall the release with this feature went live but then was clawed back?

 

Anyone know if the feature is working yet?

Thank you for verifying that information, @AnniesSeafood.

 

After checking with our beta team on this, it does look like this has already been implemented, but they said that you may need to opt-in to our Release Manager, in order to see it.

 

Here are some steps on doing so:

  1. Sign in to Square Dashboard and go to Settings > Release manager.

  2. Select Enable for device.

  3. Select the device or devices on which you’d like to enable the feature. Only relevant devices that can support the new feature or functionality will be available to select. The device name should match the device name listed in the device hub.

  4. Select Enable.

Once you follow these steps, you will need to reset your point of sale device or app to see your new features in your point of sale.

 

Please let me know if this works! If not, I can take another look for you.

Hi @AnniesSeafood, I appreciate you checking in on this!

 

I just checked in with our beta team for an update on this and am waiting to hear back from them. My understanding is that it should be implemented already. As soon as I know more though, I will keep you posted promptly.

 

In the meantime, do you have a paid subscription to Restaurants?
