12/13 Update: The response has been fantastic! Just so everyone is aware, if you haven't gotten a response yet - don't worry. We'll get to your site over the next couple of weeks. We'll also tag you when we reply, so you'll get an additional email saying one of us "mentioned" you.
Thanks so much for your feedback. I already have the customer review feature enabled. I love the idea of the reviews having their own page. I've implemented your suggestion and really love how it turned out.
Oh wow, @JUYBoutique20 - the header looks so good! I love it! I'm glad the suggestions were helpful! 😊
Donuts!!
Sorry about that, @supernicenyc - I feel like donuts are one of those things that just make people happy. I think the main thing your online ordering page needs is a bit more context for visitors:
1. An "about us" page that has some pictures of the business and information, and...
2. An Instagram section to pull in posts to your Instagram feed.
One other thing that might be helpful is to add product images for some of the items that don't have one.
Thanks for the offer!
order.oraletaqueria.com is our online store!
You're welcome, @8050rale! Here a few thoughts after looking at your online ordering site:
1. Sometimes with Square Online, it can be challenging with certain logos looking at little small. You might want to try turning off your logo, then adding a section right under your navigation that uses your logo as the image. You could use the one that has the image on the left, and then on the right a catchy headline.
2. The images you have for your items are pretty slick, but for some of them it might be nice to see a picture of the item itself. For me, I like to sometimes see a picture of the specific food item I want to order.
Thanks for sharing, @libertyfarm! I like your logo! I also really like that you are calling out a monthly subscription box.
Directly underneath that where you have your custom gift item you could try using a featured products section (maybe this is what you are using already). You could use that to feature the custom gift item and a couple more. This would make more use of the space to show off more items.
It's really great to see the Instagram feed - it helps illustrate that your soap is being made right on a farmstead in Montana. You might try featuring one of your stories on the front page, too, which would also help show that to your customers.
Hi, @Nicole_VHB! The branding of your site is spot-on! Not only is it consistent across the online store, it also matches the main website. Nicely done!
There are two things that jump out at me to add to the site:
1. This is pretty minor, but adding a link to your navigation that links back to the main website could be helpful.
2. Since you're using Instagram, including the Instagram section can add some dynamic content to the homepage. You could also consider using the video section and adding a YouTube video with that, too.
https://www.ablendofbeautyllc.com This is my site!!!
Hello, @ablendofbeauty! Thanks for sharing your website!
1. You might consider adding a contact form and links to your footer. A not-insignificant percentage of visitors scroll right to the bottom of a page, so this will make it easier for them to find what they want.
2. You're using stories - great! You could feature a story on your homepage to help drive people to read what you've written.
3. Do you have any customer testimonials? Those can be really helpful to put front-and-center with businesses that really benefit from word-of-mouth.
Let me know if you have any suggestions.
thanks!
Thanks for offering this feedback and expertise.
My Square store URL is:
https://dannyschmidt.square.site
My website URL is:
I only mention my main website because it's the only place online that links to my online store, so there's an assumption that anyone browsing my store has navigated through my website already, where they would likely have gotten more depth of information about my music, or about the products they'd see listed in the store. So I thought it might be relevant to your feedback.
Thanks! --
Danny
Thanks for sharing both, @dannyschmidt - the context is helpful!
While I imagine your main site will get most of your search and link traffic, it might not hurt to add a link to the main site in your navigation.
On your homepage, I would add a featured items section to feature a few items from your store that are popular sellers. I would also add some links to your footer for the folks that like to scroll straight to the bottom.
P.S. That is a really nice custom Martin you have. I have some really nice electrics, but nothing of that calibre for acoustics.
Hi Adam --
Thanks for taking a peek at my store and my site . . . and thanks for the thoughtful consideration and suggestions for ways I could improve the interaction of the site and the store. I really appreciate your taking the time.
Glad you liked the guitar, as well! Yeah, I feel pretty fortunate to have gotten that thing put into my hands. You can never have too many beautiful instruments. You'll find the right acoustic . . . probably when you don't have the cash or the space in your house . . . but you'll make it work!
Happy holidays to you.
All the best —
Danny
Hi, @bryan2! Thanks for sharing your online store. 🙂
I think the biggest thing your site needs is extra context and info about the business. An "about us" page and a "contact us" page would be good places to start. I would also include an Instagram section to for some dynamic content and human touch.
Just started it so go easy on me
I think you've done a good job so far, @Callahan4!
I have two points of feedback right now for your site:
1. You could try adding an "about us" page to talk a little bit about the business. It can add a helpful human touch.
2. Since your logo has a white background, it might make more sense to have a white background for your footer and to use a darker background on one of the sections above it (maybe the customer order section)? The other option is to forgo your logo and use text instead in your footer.
