Every attempt for me to give or make a contribution online from my website ends with server error and the number 500. I have attempted from multiple devices and it’s the same. My website is accessible but every time I click to my giving link, it says server error, and displayed the number 500
Hello @pastorjason99 thanks for your post. I'm sorry you're having trouble with this. Could you drop your website so we might run a test or look at some more specifics of what may be causing this issue? That error could mean a few different things and it's not possible to troubleshoot based on that error code alone.
Just a few options to try and figure this out...
Is this the first time you've tried this payment link, or has it worked successfully in the past?
Thanks @pastorjason99 I see your website, and I get the same error. I don't have an answer for you, so I'd recommend redoing that payment item and create a new link, and then relink to that on your website.
How are you creating your donation link? If you go to your Square dashboard here:
https://app.squareup.com/dashboard/payment-links
You can click on the blue Create Link button on the upper right side of the page. Click on Donation and fill out the info.
Then when you create this you should be able to get a URL link you can copy. Then use this new link on your web page.
You can also generate a QR code here as well, which could come in handy in a printed bulletin or handout. Let us know if this works for you.
