opening DASHBOARD

When I try to open SQUARE, after log-in, All I get is the menu at the left and NO DASHBOARD. Am I doing something wrong or is there an UPDATE I need to install???

Hi @TonyRoberts, welcome to the Square Community!

 

When that menu appears, what options do you see? Do you see an option that you can select that says "Dashboard?" As well as, are you using an Android or iOS device?

 

In order for me to troubleshoot further, I would need those additional details. Anything else you notice would be helpful too.

 

Feel free to send over a screenshot of what you are seeing on your side as well and I would happy to continue troubleshooting for you.

Thanks for getting back to me.  I do NOT see a listing for "dashboard". My WIFI connection is through my IPhone hotspot to my LAPTOP. I tried to insert a screenshot, but I am not that proficient at this computer stuff. All I get is the menu on the left and a symbol on the right side that it is trying to download the screen. But that just runs, never connecting.

If you cannot upload a screenshot, are you able to describe what you are seeing? Is there anything you can see that you can click on? Such as what options pop up on the menu?

 

A couple other quick questions, are you trying to access your Dashboard from your laptop, or your phone? As well as, have you tried to log in to your Dashboard from both devices?

All I see on my laptop is the menu on the left and the icon on the right that shows it is working to open. I get the same screen when I click on ANY of the items in the menu. On my IPhone I get most everything. It seems to be working. Also I need to EDIT some things and can't find where to do that. But on my laptop, all I get is what I described.

On your laptop, could you do a bit of troubleshooting for us, please?

- Check for a strong internet connection

- Clear browser cache and cookies

- Try a different Browser, such as Chrome, Firefox, or Safari

- Ensure that your web browser is up-to-date

- Log out and log back in

- Restart your device

 

Once you have gone through these steps, can you try to access your Dashboard again? Please let me know what you see on your side.

Sorry for being late in getting back to you. I have tried ALL of your suggestions and still nothing. I can get the menu on the left, but my DASHBOARD will NOT download or open...I am at a major loss here. Am I missing an update for the program? or something..??  TONY

No worries!

 

Unfortunately without a screenshot, it is bit difficult to troubleshoot this. Is there anyway you could send over a photo of what you are seeing? Possibly from another device?

 

In the meantime, have you been in contact with Customer Support over the phone about this issue? Their number is 855-700-6000 between 6am-6pm Pacific Time Monday-Friday.

I understand. In that case, I would recommend using another device to try to upload the screenshot. We just have limited abilities on my side, if we do not have a screenshot to review and see what the issue is.

Sammie.

 

Obviously a common problem where Square does not have an answer. I have the same problem as Tony. I've tried all of the recommended fixes as advised by Square (Danial) and none have worked. It's a problem at Square's end with their programme probably being corrupted or a glitch . Can I suggest Square call in a computer programmer to help because I think the issue is above the pay grade of the consultants trying their best to fix the problem. 

 

So no, I'm sure it is not an operator (me) fault, but closer to the actual Square server end. Oh, by the way, its driving me bonkers so please please fix the problem quickly.

 

By the way, the problem description that Tony gave is exactly the same as mine and not really that hard to understand. Left side loads "and the wheels on the bus go round and round" without loading the main content.

 

C'mon guys, it's costing me money because I cannot update my web page.

@Paul88, I understand your frustration and I understand the issue you all are explaining, but in order for our Engineers to look into it further we do need a visual on what you all are seeing.

 

Would you be able to attach a screenshot of the issue you are seeing?

Sorry Sammie.

 

Same problem as Tony re photo.

 

I asked AI to investigate, (Perplexity Pro), and sent the detailed written information to Daniel attached to an email. I don't like to be a negative person, but the Square dashboard issue is in your server or programme, maybe hacked, and has been going for a long time.  

 

Can I be really honest? Your system is by todays expected standards, a bit clunky. Can I respectfully ask you have a look at AI and ask some relevant questions. Regarding the requested screen shot. Imagine this. A white screen, left side has the menu, middle of the screen a small revolving loading icon, black incomplete circle with a white centre and  small black tail. That's what you would see in a photo. 

 

Thanks for your reply, unfortunately I now need to look for alternative methods to sell my products and let my customers know until Square solves the problem.

I understand, and appreciate the feedback. We strive to make our products as user-friendly as possible and all feedback is important. I can imagine what you are describing, but in order for our Engineers to recreate the issue, they do need some kind of visual aid. 

 

To clarify, you are having this issue when accessing the Dashboard via Squareup.com?
