I just purchased a Square Terminal and I want to pair it with my Square POS system. But the Terminal is not showing anything other than a black blank screen with the logo.
I turned the Terminal on initially and logged in. It worked fine. Then I paired it successfully once with the POS system. Somehow it got unpaired, and I haven't been able to pair it or sign in since. The Terminal is just stuck on the screen.
Restarting or powering off does not work or reset the device.
OK, well I figured this out. Apparently you can swipe right across the screen starting at the left side and a menu will appear and you can select Settings - then you can log out and log back in.
How would anyone ever know this?!
FINALLY! Someone with a brain!! THANK YOU! No one in support told me this, they all told me to contact Hardware support and I'm absolutely livid at Square right now.
