I am new to Square. I have read in some places that you cannot use the camera on your Android phone to scan the barcodes, but I also have seen the excerpt below on the Square webpage related to connecting barcode scanners. So, I am confused. I made sure the permissions are correct in my phone (Galaxy S24). I have Square for Retail. However, the toggle button in the Hardware Settings related to using the camera as a scanner is not present in my app. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong or if it is not possible.
"A camera barcode scanner uses the built-in camera on your Android device. No additional hardware is required. The feature must be enabled in your point of sale settings."
