Used it this morning and I think it will be a great feature to add, however, it would be much more beneficial if it would allow it to upload multiple at the same time. I only uploaded 6 new items and It got all of the initial photos and items correct, just wish it could add multiple so that I don't have to go in and add them separately.

Thanks for your feedback, KDAME! To clarify, when you say "wish it could add multiple so that I don't have to go in and add them separately," do you mean you wish the feature supported mapping multiple images to the same item?

Following up on my testing since I've been using this feature pretty regularly.

This was my previous feedback and is still valid:

1. This issue still continues to occur: Testing books that are the same name but different volume really confuses it. I'd say it works only 50% of the time. For example, if the books that are named: Sailor Moon Vol. 1 and Sailor Moon Vol. 2, it often will give Sailor Moon Vol. 1 the Vol. 2 image and vice versa. So it will still attribute an image, but not the correct Volume image.

2. Fixing the wrong image would be much faster if the default selection was "Sorting by Date Uploaded" rather than Alphabetical Order. Having to switch it to "Sorting by Date Uploaded" every single time is a pain and I don't see much value in Alphabetical Order.

3. I highly recommend that the logic include looking at the filename and mapping it that way as well, especially by GTIN. All my images are named after the GTIN, so it would always be a 100% correct mapping if it would map the file name of the image to the item GTIN. So if there was a way to also upload bulk images by image filename mapping that would be amazing. Maybe even as a separate method so people could choose the current AI method or image filename mapping. PLEASE DO THIS!!

4. Most importantly, please allow a filter that displays items that do not have an image. I have thousands of items so this would save much time in finding all the images that need to be uploaded. This is truly a necessity for the Bulk Upload Image feature.

New Feedback:

It would be a much better UI/UX experience that would fix many of the issues above if the User Experience flow was like this:

Instead of automatically mapping the images to the products:

1. A user bulk uploads 20 images on the bulk edit items page

2. After the upload is successful, show a new modal

3. One-by-one, ask the user if an image is correct for the product that Square guessed it should be

4. If the user says “Yes”, associate the image

5. If the user says “No”, show the grid of uploaded images and let the user select the correct one

This allows the user to quickly and accurately approve the images.

Thank you so much for allowing me to participate in the beta! This is a much needed new feature!

This is fantastic. I assume the Item Name or SKU would match the image filename? I've tried a couple of times and so far it hasn't been able to match, so I'm missing something.

I'll second mapping by filename. My items are all custom made pieces, so I'd be inventing skus or product numbers anyway. It's just as easy for me to load a list of images into a spreadsheet from an explorer window and use the image filenames to drive product numbers.

It would be really simple to add an url to an image and assosiate this url in the excel file you upload.

ex: I have pictures on my google drive that have unique url. This url could be added in a column of the catalog excel file, when uploaded, Square could get the image.

Is it possible to upload in bulk, single images for many items in one action?

Or can we put code somewhere (that refer to the image) in the excel sheet that is use to create bulk items?

Thanks for the help!
