I'm totally angry with Square Australia.
Why?
I've been processing sales for years. Not a single issue ever. Always had money available to cover any refunds etc.
4 weeks ago, I process $21,997 (like I've been doing all year), but this time Square withholds the funds and asks to verify my business. I answer all the questions and submit all the paperwork.
Result? Account gets cancelled.
But they do not return the funds to the customer! It's been over a month and the customer doesn't have their money back. Yet I'm still providing the service to them.
I'm not allowed to access the funds. And I've tried to process a refund to them so that I can process their sale via another merchant. And so now the customer is **bleep**ed.
This is negligent and culpable from Square.
They won't return emails - even the rep who emailed me to tell me they've cancelled my account won't return an email.
So a warning to all - this is how you can be left **bleep**ing off your customer through no fault of yours.
