permanently delete an invoice

If I make a mistkae in an invoice such as writing the wrong customer inforamtion, square does not allow it to be changed. Therefore, it would make sense to delete the invoice, and use the same invoive ID to create a new one with the correct info. 
However, square doesnt allow for the permanent deletion of invoices, it only allows them to be archived. So if i try to create a new invoice with that invoive ID, it doesnt allow, because its as if the invoive ID is still in use.

So Square should allow customers info to be changed after making an invoice, and if not, at least allow me to delete the old one so I can use the same invoice number!

Seems no one responded to your post so I thought I toss out some info from previous similar posts.  Currently adding the ability to delete a transaction is not an option.  The reasoning behind this is because this information is submitted via 1099-K's to the IRS.   If this ability was available, it would allow the not so honest people to not report sales.  Understand, Square is not the only transaction processing provider that works this way.  If you do some research, you will find that other 3rd party services do the same thing.   Transactions can be voided or refunded but, not deleted even if they are just done for testing or training.

A. If the transaction hasnt happened yet, square should allow for the deletion of the invoice. Until the invoice is paid, it should be able to be deleted.

B. Similarly, until it is paid, the customer information should be able to be changed. currently uo can edit the customer information, but the changes dont show on the invoice, they only change in squares crm for next invoice.
C. if for some reason the above requests cant be filled, allow me to use the same invoice ID as an 'archived' invoice. perhaps make a popup that says this ID is already in use, would you like to use it nontheless, or something like that, but as it standsm it doesn make sense that it I make a mistake when generating an invoice, I have no way of remedying it
