Subscriptions - Remove "One time Purchase"

Subscriptions - Remove "One time Purchase"

I don't understand why there is a "One Time Purchase" payment option added by default on my subscription plan. I'm begging you to please make a way to remove that option! Customer support told me there used to be a toggle I could flip in "items" to make it a subscription item only, however the toggle no longer exists. I've spent hours trying to fix this.

Not only is the "one time purchase" option confusing, it's also the default selection (listed above the "subscription" option). A majority most of my customers have selected it thinking they're signing up for my subscriptions.

Again, I'm begging you to fix this.

How do I say this nicely, which is all I really want to do, but I do have to explain why giving an option to the customer to choose “One-time purchase” for a Subscription is totally illogical and confusing!

This functionality seems to be modeled off from the way Amazon does it.

The problem is that on Amazon, you are starting with the premise of buying one product, and then asking if the Customer would like a subscription to buy the product on a recurring basis.

With Square, we are setting up a Subscription to purchase a product on a recurring basis, period! Nobody is saying "I am offering you a subscription, but if you want, you can do a one-time purchase based on the price of the item attached to the subscription plan"! You can't go from a Subscription to a single purchase!

The seller does not want this. And it is extra steps & it is extra instructions that have to be given out & documented to the customer, to tell them "do not click on the "One-time purchase" button, because this is a Subscription"!

Please ... Correct the situation & remove the "One-time purchase" functionality!

Thank you,

Larry
