Sold out/Pre-order

Hi there! I would love if this feature (or something similar) could be added. There are many times that we get booked with orders in our bakery. Usually, I just shut the orders off during this time, or I block off specific dates. I would love if a feature could be added that lists an item as sold out, but still allows it to be ordered for another date. For example, this weekend we are no longer accepting cake orders, but I would like customers to still be able to order other items. I wish there was a feature that showed my cakes (without marking them as unavailable), but said sold out, but still allowed them to order starting on a certain date. I hope this makes sense!

This would be great!

Yes please! This would work for me too. I would like to still be able to sell items that are sold out, perhaps the item/variation could have a toggle to allow sales after it is sold out. For me, I sell art prints, and while I may not have one on hand, I just order more and then can ship it out when I receive the prints. The toggle would be necessary per variation as one of the variations is the original and I only have one of those so would not want people to be able to order more when it is sold out.

Thanks!

Pre-orders are definitely a popular feature request I've seen pop up in our community. Thank you for highlighting the need for this for your business, @SweetAvenue @Purple_HS @TeaTimeLaine - we'll be sure to share an update once we have news!

Yes I would love a PRE-ORDER AND NEW  BADGE OPTION

Apparently, if an item is out-of-stock, the pre-order function doesn't work? Why?? If I had the item in stock, I wouldn't need people to pre-order it. This needs to be fixed so that we can sell 0-stock items as pre-orders (so we will then know how much stock to purchase based on those pre-orders...which is the whole point of a pre-order function).
