Sales Report filter by Section

When customizing the sales report, can we have al filter for sections? Many restaurants record revenue centers by section. Right now we have to look at which team member worked which section and then use the team member filter to view/print a report for each section. This doesn't work when we are busy and a team member has to serve multiple sections.

Section Sales is actually something that currently exists within our reporting tools! 🙂

You can either view the Section Sales from the Reports section of your Dashboard on its own, as shown below

or you can add it to your Custom Report here

@_Violet thanks for your reply. Unfortunately both the section sales and custom reports do not give us what we need. The section sales report does not provide gift card sales, cash vs card vs gift card payments and category rollup totals. It also does not allow us to filter the sections so we would have to add up the sections which comprise each of our revenue centers. For example, our sections "bar" and "bistro" comprise one revenue center, "beach" and "deck' comprise another. The custom report only adds in pre-existing reports so adding them into a custom report still precludes the filters I need. Right now from the POS system itself, when we print the sales report, it allows filter by device and filter by team. All we need is an additional filter by section. Thank you.

Hi@_Violet . Please change the status back to new as this feature has not been implemented. As mentioned, the section report and custom report you suggested do not provide the information we need. All we are asking for is to add a section filter in addition to existing device and team member filters when printing sales report from the POS. Thank you.

At this time, the type of report you are wanting here is a feature request. Although this feature isn’t currently available with Square, it’s a great idea and I can see how it would be beneficial to your business.

I’ve shared your feature request with our Product Team, as they are constantly improving our products based on feedback like this. They did let me know that they would like to explore this option further, although it is not currently planned for implementation.
