Pre-order for a specific date and fulfill with shipping

I'd like for the pre-order option to extend to shipping out orders.

Seriously this is apparently still an issue! I sell books and have a lot of pre-order campaigns I am starting that offer incentives but if I cannot ship them only pick up or delivery it severely limits my ability to sell books. I have contacted support and they have done a work around on my item but so far I have had to contact them each time. I am not sure why shipping on a pre-order isn't an option in the first place.  So I see this is from 3 years ago and they still haven't added pre-order shipping.
