New April update..modifiers options

The modifier screen used to be a list, now it's a grid with limited view and characters.  Can't find my modifiers correctly now.  Horrible update.  Need to talk to a developer.

@ruchc3c Fellow seller here.  I was going to check this out, since I'm not seeing it on my Restaurants POS on iPad.  You neglected to mention which platform/hardware you are using, which is helpful in determining which "April update" you are referring to.  Can you provide that, please?

Agreed - it's on mine too - I HATE it!!

All my variations are showing as a grid, not a list. It's slowed down my checkout so much, I'm really considering moving to another payment solution.

Android app on tablet and card reader for cost. I have a main online store (Woocommerce/Stripe) and so this is for direct sales in my physical shop (not the main focus).

First.... @PaineFreeCrafts the OP @ruchc3c was talking about modifiers, not variations.  Did you just mistype and also mean modifiers?  Or are you reporting a different issue which should be in its own thread?

Second, as far as modifiers go, it sounds like the engineers should consider making this an optional setting -- either display them in a single column list or a double-column list.  It should NOT be changed back for everyone, though.  When I use Square Terminal or Handheld, I love the two-column display since I have very large modifier lists -- for my 70 soft serve flavors, for example.  I'd rather not have to scroll so darned much, even if I have to get used to new muscle memory.

Anyway, a setting to let every seller decide what is best for them, rather than just asking for it to be changed back for everyone, is a much better request.

Variations. I started my own thread.

It sounds likely they are linked, or have both had updates though.

Hey @ruchc3c

Glad to see your comment on @sgrodin-pos's blog announcement. We are stoked you're stoked! 🙌

@TheRealChipA you called it. We made it a setting. Sellers who want the dense grid keep it, sellers who need more space can switch. Appreciate you framing it that way.
