Net 30 Payment Terms for Square Online

With customer accounts being added to square online (100% needs an email login as well) there needs to be an ability to add a "Net 30" account payment method for certain customers, allowing for certain customers to buy products on an account. Alternatively, accounts need to be approved via a Square Contract.

Thanks for taking the time to send through your request for Square Online!

At the moment, the closest thing Square currently offers is the ability to create Square Invoices and set the payment date in the future. Additionally, you can create a recurring invoice series for repeat customers who are expected to place orders for the same items or services each month.

To my knowledge, there aren't any plans to introduce a Net 30 feature for Square Online sites. However, I'd like to run this by my team to see whether we've received similar requests in the past from Sellers.

I'd also be curious to learn a bit more about your use case, as this would help me relay your feedback to our Product Team. If you could include more information about how your business would use a feature like this, it would be most helpful.

Sorry took so long to reply!

I already use Square invoices and I love it.

For my needs, I'd love for my customers to use the website to place orders. Most of my business is B2B and a lot of businesses (myself included) are usually on a Net30 account with suppliers. These customers usually contact me via email or text to place orders in which I add that order to Square Invoices to allow for Net30 accounts. Most customers would rather place the order on their own accord and use the website to place orders, but don't want to pay upfront.

How I would like Square to implement this, is using the new account login framework allow for certain customers to be able to order via Square Online but that order doesn't require payment, instead it either creates an Order in the "Orders" page or creates an invoice in the Square Invoices page, all filled out with items and contact information from the customer, this is then sent off to the customer with your customized invoices, just like a regular invoice would be sent.
