How can we exclude an item from the discount ?

Please include a button on each line item/product to exclude an item from a discount. So if we choose to have an item excluded,  we would click on the button that enables it to be excluded. We used to use Shopkeep and they had this function on each line item. So if we choose to exclude an item from a discount, then we can enable it from the item itself.

I 100% agree that this needs to be a thing. We should have both item and category level controls over what discounts work.

When I set a pricing_rule via the API to automatically apply a discount.. (say a 3% discount for all customers that are in the "Three-Percent-Club" customer group)... and also set an exclude_products_id to a product set with a category that conatins products not eligible for discounts... it does not work correctly.

It appears to not respect the exclude_products_id in the pricing rule when it applied it.

I have an item in my catalog colled "Bottle Fee" and it should never be eligible for a discount.

I have a product category called "NO DISCOUNT" and the "Bottle Fee" product is in that category.

I have a product_set that has that "NO DISCOUNT" category in its "product_ids_any" field.

I have a discount of 3%

I have a pricing rule that says apply the 3% discount with customer_group_ids_any pointint to a customer group and an "exclude_products_id" that has the aforementioned product set.

The products therein are not excluded from the discount. I believe this is a bug.

A more robust discounting system would be great. We have products that we close out sometimes by adjusting the price down to basically a little above cost. It would be cool to have an option to make sure the discounts don't discount anything below cost.

Would also REALLY REALLY love this. We are a coffee shop and there is a yoga studio upstairs. We offer yoga teachers half-off our menu drinks, but SO OFTEN this discount gets applied to the whole sale - often food and retail items. This year has cost me an average of $50/month in misuse of this discount alone. I should be able to set up our “yoga” discount to only be applied to certain items.
