Forum Improvements

With more and more users reporting dissatisfaction with the support team, there is more reliance on the forums for assistance. Because of this I would like to make some suggestions to make the forums easier to use:

1 - This forum post has already had a few people upvote it, and deserves some attention. It suggests a couple of additional forum sections to better support “self help” by the users.

2 -  I have found that searching in the forum does not return results in any sort of logical order. Direct keyword searches don’t seem to find the keywords, and results don’t appear return by relevance nor by date order. Very often, I am finding results from several years ago.

3 - Unless I have missed it, (and that is completely possible,) I have not been able to find a way to search for posts by specific users. Even when I look for my own posts, the only way that I have found to do it is to look at my notifications and find one related to my previous post that I’m looking for.

4 - While there are several categories or groups for posting questions and issues, I think they need a review and refresh. Often times I am making a general product post and don’t really know if it ultimately falls under reporting, catalog, or orders, etc. I recently had a failed online order, for example, and to figure out if that falls under online, orders, payments, reporting or even the developers of API forums is nearly impossible.

Big +1 @lennys26 , especially on search. I regularly get results from 2019 for something that changed last month, and finding my own old posts is a mission haha. With support harder to reach these days, more of us are relying on the Community, so making answers easy to find helps everyone, Square included. A "sort by newest" and a "posts by user" filter would be a great start.
