Day View by the Hour in Square Shifts

Hi!  We currently use Square Payroll and POS for our business.  We would like to be able to use Square Shifts and Communication for scheduling & communication but there is one feature that keeps us using Sling at the moment.

Sling has a day view like in the picture below that visually represents the shifts by the hour throughout the day.  This is very helpful when crafting the schedule to make sure each hour of the day is staffed appropriately.  

I feel that this wouldn't be a major thing to integrate into Square shifts since this would basically just be changing the way the information is being visually displayed.

👋  @TheShakery - Jerry from Square here. I'm the PM supporting our Team Communications product as well as the scheduling functionality in Shifts.

Thanks so much for the feedback. Excited to share we are actively working this quarter to support an hour-by-hour/gantt layout in the day view of scheduling! We also have a couple improvements planned to make it easier to create scheduled shifts and better visualize total hour-by-hour coverage/costs. I anticipate these changes to be progressively released in the next 2-3 months. 

In the meantime, if you have any other suggestions/feedback around the scheduling experience, please share them with us -- our team is investing heavily to improve our scheduling offering this year.

@TheShakery wanted to circle back on this and share some good news -- we officially launched the hour-by-hour day view in scheduling last month! To access, navigate to the Square Staff Scheduling page here > Click on the Date Picker > Select 'Day' and you'll be taken to our new hour-by-hour day gantt view. 

Would love for you to try it out and share any feedback you have with us so we can continue to improve the product -- we've rolled out a number of Square Shifts improvements over the last few months and expect to see more coming in the next few weeks!
